Lilac Lodge / Purple House is situated in Winterton, it is ideal for couples and families who want to break away for a few days and couples who want to escape their busy lives. Lilac Lodge / Purple house is 3-star rated and AA highly recommended.

All the cottages are tastefully decorated and equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible with en suite rooms and TV. We have braai areas, pool, and trampoline and play area for children in a lovely big garden. You can also enjoy good South African home baked foods at our restaurant 'The Purple House'. Sit back, relax and enjoy wonderful hospitality and let us spoil you.

There are two 8-sleeper cottages with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and open plan lounge with a fireplace; one 2-bedroom cottage with en-suite bathrooms, kitchen and lounge; two 1-bedroom cottages with en-suite bathroom and small kitchen; three 1-bedroom cottages with en-suite bathroom. There are no kitchens. Single beds are available in most of the rooms. All the kitchens are fully equipped with stoves and microwaves. One only need to bring swimming towels, food and drinks.

Other activities on offer are hikes, mountain meander arts and crafts trail, the delights of the Spioenkop Nature Reserve, farm, battle fields and other historic sites, golf, horse riding, helicopter flights, beauty spas, quad bikes, miniature golf and the world famous sounds of the Drakensberg Boys Choir school.
