Whether you are a seasoned art lover or simply looking for a unique winter getaway, this extraordinary festival offers something for everyone, set against the stunning backdrop of the Western Cape’s most picturesque seaside town.
Prepare yourself for an exuberant celebration of creativity in all its forms, whether it’s visual, musical, literary, culinary, or performance. The FynArts Festival returns from the 6th to the 17th of June 2025, bringing ten days of inspiration and artistic discovery to the charming seaside town of Hermanus.
This annual festival, now a much-loved highlight in the Overberg’s calendar, is known for its vibrant programme of events, including theatre, live music in every genre, art exhibitions, thought-provoking talks, hands-on workshops and unforgettable food and wine experiences.
Over 20 exhibitions are expected this year, showcasing sculpture, ceramics, painting, photography, quilting, and glass, complemented by music concerts and recitals, workshops and masterclasses, tutored wine tastings, pairings, as well as exceptional dining experiences. This one-of-a-kind festival creates a blend of visual stimulation, intellectual engagement, and creative energy, all set in intimate venues from cosy coffee shops and small art galleries to restaurants, wine cellars, and tasting rooms.
To make getting around during the event easier, visitors are encouraged to make use of the complimentary hop-on/hop-off bus and rickshaw bicycles connecting the central exhibitions. Wine Route Shuttles will also link festival venues at participating wine farms along the Hermanus Wine Route.
