Plettenberg Bay, where the incredible summer feeling awaits, opens its doors to international and local tourists alike, but this winter we are heating things up!
Shed the winter blues and anticipate the upcoming Plett Ocean Festival to be held between the 4th to the 13th of July 2025. This is the fourth annual festival to welcome you to observe, conserve, and preserve our stunning ocean, here, on Plett's doorstep.
This fantastic event has activities ranging from beach cleanups to educational workshops that challenge you to do something tangible to save our ocean. You will also have ample time to watch and know more about gorgeous sea animals face-to-face and get to know them above and below the ocean.

The pinnacle of the event is the Marine Science Symposium, in which scientists and conservationists come together to present their research and promote informed community action. The greatest concerns to be addressed at this year's symposium are the Cape fur seal's health and the rabies outbreak, and findings of the latest shark studies. With whales coming into the bay, their breaching, spy-hopping, and lobtailing activity is not to be missed! Marine life like seahorses, dolphins, birds, and beaches are also a part of the festival. Are you an ocean lover and passionate about the sea creatures it holds? Then come to the Plett Ocean Festival for a life-changing experience to connect with nature and learn something new while taking part in this developing conservation movement.
