Overview

House is protected by an alarm that is also linked to a security company that is dedicated to the area. Bedroom zone can be closed off if security is a concern, although we have never needed it.

The house has four stories made up as follows;
first floor - Entrance hall, guest toilet;Entertainment area; built in bar surrounded by natural granite rockery, pool table,65" LED HD display with streaming services, Sonos music centre with outside channel, covered and open terrace for seating as well as pool lounges around heated jacuzzi and small solar heated swimming pool.

Second floor - Open plan Living area; newly renovated kitchen and scullery, dining room with attached wine storage, formal lounge, theatre room with both LED HD display as well as HD projector and large screen with Satellite TV (DSTV), Netflix, 7.1 channel surround sound, internal double glazing for sound suppression, light control as well as pre-programmed “light brain”. Guest toilet. Underfloor heating and gas fire place. Automated roller blinds for managing the heat and light to personal comforts. Outside terraces comprising of a covered gas BBQ and seating area, a covered outside lounge area, an outside dining area, and open sun terrace for sun tanning and/or evening sundowners - great for entertaining.
Third floor - four bedrooms, three bathrooms (two en-suite - one in main bedroom and one in guest bedroom). All bedrooms has air conditioners and underfloor heating. Main bedroom has remote controlled automated curtains, outside terrace, shower / steam shower and spa-bath. Third bedroom also has an outside terrace. All bedrooms have LED HD displays with Satellite TV (DSTV), Netflix, while the main bedroom has an additional sound system attached.

Fourth floor – self-contained study/office only accessible by lift, with library; lounge area for hosting business meetings; use the 65” Frame TV for displaying presentations, streaming your favourite channel or simply put it in frame mode for displaying art; a guest toilet; all leading outto a large wooden deck with amazing views over the bay - great for catching that tan or even an evening dinner entertaining guests. Use the mobile fridge for keeping your drinks cold. An adjacent Zen garden for peaceful reading and / or those special moments.


In addition, the home has two garages with remote controlled access, a steep driveway, (theprice one pays to live higher up), but although it may first appear challenging you will soon get the hang of it. The home also has a self-contained cottage. Norah, our house keeper for many years lives in the cottage and will come as part of the rental as she is familiar with the house, does all the cleaning, washing and ironing, as well as the ability to prepare breakfast and cook certain meals. Norah is a real gem and great with young kids too. Modesta, will assist Norah 3 times per week too.

The rental charge includes Housekeeper, cleaner as specified above, reasonable water and electricity usage. The garden is maintained by a professional company.

Important Information

Damage deposit:
Upon arrival guests will be asked to provide a damage deposit as well as a valid credit card number as guarantee for the property and its content for any damages caused. Please note that by accepting our Terms and Conditions you agree that any damages caused by you or your accompanying party will be deducted from your damage deposit, and that you will also be liable for any excess damages. A damage deposit will be requested upon arrival. This damage deposit should be paid in cash or by credit card. Please see your confirmation email to see which method of payment is required. Cash. All damage deposits paid in cash will be refunded in full at check-out, and following an inspection of the property for any damages. Credit card: All deposits paid with a credit card will be refunded to that same card used for payment made, between 4 to 7 days following departure into the property, and after inspection for damages.

Property cleaning:
Before leaving, the client is obliged to leave the property in perfect conditions, i.e. all waste should be correctly disposed of and the property tidied. If not, there will be an additional cleaning charge. The property will be cleaned on a daily basis excluding Sundays and public holidays. Cleaning fee is included in the advertised rate.

- Pets are not allowed

Check-in time:
The property will be available as of 14:00h, however we will always try to accommodate clients arriving early if we possibly can. Please remember we have a fee of R300.00 ( for arrivals between 19h00 and 07h00). This fee should be settled directly with the consultant on arrival in cash.

Check-out time:
You should leave the property before or at 11:00. Leaving after 11:00 without prior authorisation will be penalised.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy:
All cancellations or changes must be made via email or fax. Cancellations or changes by phone are not accepted. The pre-paid booking deposit will not be refunded in the event of cancellation. In the event of cancellation of a fully paid booking (100% of stay) , there is a cancellation charge corresponding to the number of days it was made prior to the day of arrival: 30-89 days before: 50% of the total amount. Less than 30 days before: 100% of the total amount. In the event that the guest changes the dates or property, it will be considered a new booking and will be subject to the standard cancellation procedures. It is strongly recommended that clients purchase holiday cancellation insurance. Any cancellation, including force majeure, will be subject to the aforementioned cancellation policy. If BookNow is not able to provide the client with the property that s/he booked, the client will be informed and will be offered a new property with similar features. If both parties are not able to reach an agreement, the client will be refunded the amount paid, subject to the following conditions: 100% of the rental amount before arriving to the property. The percentage corresponding to the days not used of the booked stay.
