Tau Self-Catering House,

Tau Self-Catering is situated in Marloth Park nature reserve on the banks of the Crocodile River with stunning views of the Kruger National park and its wildlife.

The house offers 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and can accommodate a maximum of 10 persons. All bedrooms are air-conditioned.

There is a large well-equipped kitchen available with a gas stove, electric oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave, ice maker, dishwasher and all other equipment required for self-catering.

Meals can be enjoyed in the indoor open plan dining area, upstairs breakfast area overlooking the Kruger Park or in the downstairs lapa featuring a built-in braai. The braai area flows into a large garden with a sparkling pool. Sun loungers are available to enjoy the warm African sun in the private pool area.

The main feature of the lodge is the large upstairs patio with various seating options. This patio offers the best views of the Crocodile River and the Kruger park with its Big 5 in Marloth Park. Hours can be spent here watching the herds of Elephant and Buffalo coming down to the river to drink. Lions are regularly seen following these herds while several hippos have made the river in front of the house their home. Upstairs also features an indoor lounge flowing out onto the patio. This area offers a library and a TV with full DStv channels as well as comfortable couches to take a break from the game viewing.

Guests of Tau Self-catering House can experience open vehicle game drives conducted by an experienced guide in the world-famous Kruger National Park, to observe wildlife from close by. Advance booking is required. Self-drive options can also be done with great ease from the House due to its close proximity to both Malelane and Crocodile Bridge entrance gates to the Kruger Park.

Guests can bring their own mountain bike and enjoy the easy routes along the river banks or into the bush where wild animals can be encountered for an unforgettable experience. A bush walk within the reserve brings guests soul close to nature.

The house is located a mere 60 minutes drive from the Kruger Mpumalanga international airport and approximately 20 minutes from the nearest entrance gate into the world famous Kruger National park at Crocodile Bridge. There are several restaurants in Marloth Park as well as a small shopping centre where guests can buy their supplies.
