A unique blend of luxury timber frame units, fit seamlessly into the indigenous bush with an abundance of bird life and game. This luxurious villa offers guests absolute privacy with a large living area, a private pool, private waterhole and a fully equipped kitchen, which opens up onto a large deck with a fire-pit. Thornwood is rated four stars by TGCSA.

The secluded lodge-style villa features four bedrooms. Two bedrooms are stand alone cottages with queen size beds while the other two bedrooms are connected to the main house. These rooms, Scotia and Corkwood, have two single beds in each. On request the single beds can be brought together to create a king size bed. All the bedrooms are en-suite and are fitted with air conditioning, ceiling fans, study area, bathtub and an additional feature of an outdoor shower. Tamboti and Anthill Cottage have kettles and complimentary teas and coffees for those who want to stay in bed just that little bit longer. Relax in spacious comfort without losing intimacy with nature.

Thornwood is situated in the heart of Southern Maputaland and is a neighbour to the famous Phinda Game Reserve and The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, now a world heritage site. The Hluhluwe - Umfolozi Game Park, known for it's Big 5 is right on your doorstep. Guests use Thornwood Lodge facilities at their own risk and adhere to the liability clauses.
No fires outside the boma.
No stag parties without prior arrangement.
No more than 4 guests per chalet.

Breakage deposit and balance due to be paid to the establishment.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total.
If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 37.5% of the booking total.
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the booking total.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 12.5% of the booking total.
